The book is a natural extension of the documentary. Because so much material ended up on the cutting room floor, the authors felt it was a shame not to use it in some way. The book is a much more extensive account of the history of this plane, complemented with numerous photos, facts and quotes. Each chapter deals with a different period of the plane’s life and the adventures and the people that were involved.
